Account Details: Balance Items

Use this tab to define balance items under which you would like to classify a new account in the balance sheet.
 
Balance items are major components of the balance sheet determining how and in what categories, subcategories and groups accounts are organized.
 
The exact set of balance sheet items depends on the selected type of accounting framework as it prescribes a certain organizational format for the balance sheet.
 
In Codejig ERP, such accounting frameworks are called Balance types.
 
You select balance types for generating Profit & Loss and Balance sheet reports.
 
Under the Balance items tab, several balance types that are available for your country are displayed by default.
 
For each balance type you intend to use, select a balance item under which you want to display a given account.
 
Choose a balance item from the list of available items for the particular balance type.
