Company: Details Section

The Details section includes two types of tabs that are Details tabs and Reports tabs.
 
Under the Details tabs, you provide information about companies. This information will be used in company-related documents and ensuing transactions.
 
Under the Reports tabs, you do not define any company details. The tabs are used only for generating and displaying analytical reports regarding your companies.
 
Depending on the company type chosen, the Details tabs and Reports tabs may consist of different tabs. The latter in their turn may consist of different fields.
 
Overall, the following tabs constitute the Details section:

Details tabs
 
  • Accounting tab - assign accounts to a company and specify trading conditions that are usually used when working with the company. Selected accounts become default accounts for all company-related transactions, and set trading conditions will be automatically suggested for use in sales or purchase documents. The accounting tab encompasses accounts for recording receivables, payables and advances alongside with fields for specifying payment and delivery terms, sales approach, discounts, etc.
The accounting tab pertains to all company types, although the content of fields for each type may differ.
 
  • VAT tab indicate wherever the company is a VAT payer. If it is, add its VAT number and select a country where it is registered for VAT.  
The tab pertains to all company types.
 
  • Contacts tab – enter company address. You can enter billing and shipping addresses of the company. The billing address may differ from the shipping address or may be the same. 
The tab pertains to all company types.
 
  • Contact person tab create and assign contact persons to the company. If you create only one contact person, this person automatically becomes a default contact person for the company. If required, you can create several contact persons, state their positions within the company and add contact information.
The tab pertains to all company types.
 
  • Bank account tab create and assign bank accounts to the company. If you create only one bank account, it becomes a default bank account of the company.  Also, you can create several bank accounts for the company. 
The tab pertains to all company types.
 
  • Settings tab specify the company's default language that will be used for document printing;  if you intend to exchange invoices electronically with the company, specify the company's service provider and its EDI identifier.

Reports tabs
 
  • Goods charts tab - a report showing quantitative data regarding goods traded with the company within a chosen period of time; in particular, it shows the total cost of goods sold/purchased and goods balances. Source of data for the report depends on the type of the company.
The tab relates to companies of the Customer and Vendor types.
 
  • Customer charts tab a report showing sales dynamics in relation to the given company, e.g. the ratio between advances received from the company, closed invoices and open invoices, along with details on each sales transaction.
The tab relates solely to companies of the Customer type.
 
  • Vendor charts taba report showing purchase dynamics in relation to the given company, e.g. the ratio between advances paid to the company, closed purchase invoices and open purchase invoices, along with details on each purchase transaction. 
The tab relates solely to companies of the Vendor type.
  • List of transactions - a report showing all documents referring to the company which have triggered certain company-related transactions.
The tab relates to all company types.
