Purchase Price List

In Codejig ERP, you define prices for goods and services in the Sales Price list. The application enables you to create multiple sales price lists for items, allowing you to monitor price fluctuations over a certain period of time by referring to specific sales price list documents that contain identical items but have different prices.  Also, Codejig ERP supports the creation of separate sales price lists for different customers. Consequently, if your trading conditions with a particular customer incorporate some special pricing policies, you can create a sales price list specifically for this customer. Also, if you wish to sell to your customers the same goods/services at different prices, you can create a distinct sales price list for each customer.

When you create sales documents, Codejig ERP retrieves item prices from a sales price list that contains selected goods or services and their prices. To define a new sales price list, you add items to it and set prices for the items.
Note: The system retrieves prices for items from a sales price list with the most recent date before the date of a sales document.
For example, your sales manager creates a sales order dated 12/12/2018. There are two price lists containing the required items dated 11/12/2018 and 09/12/2018. The prices will be retrieved from the price list dated 11/12/2018. However, if the sales manager decides to issue another sales order dated 10/12/2018, the prices will be retrieved from the price list dated 09/12/2018.
However, items may be scattered among different sales price lists with different dates. Then, the system identifies all price lists which include a specific item and fetch item’s price data from the most recent price list.

If you issue a sales document for a customer to whom a specific price list is assigned, item prices will be retrieved from this price list. However, if you include in the sales document an item whose price is not defined in the price list created specifically for the customer, item price will be retrieved from the current price list including the item.

Additionally, you can define different prices for the item’s different units of measurement. To do that, you have to add one and the same item several times to the price list, select different units of measurement for the item and set prices for it. The prices will be linked to the item’s units of measurement. If you define the price for the item without selecting the unit of measurement for it in the price list, the price set will be linked to the item’s default unit of measurement specified in the item’s data.

You can set different currencies for your price lists. You select any of the active currencies for a price list, and then define item prices in this particular currency.
Note: You cannot set prices in multiple currencies within one price list. In the price list, all prices are in a currency that was selected as a price list currency.
