Currency

If you trade internationally, you usually have to deal with different currencies. In Codejig ERP, you can add and define multiple foreign currencies your company works with.

By default, Codejig ERP supports all currencies published as European Central Bank reference rates. Other currencies can be added manually if needed.

For more details, see European Central Bank: Euro foreign exchange reference rates.

To see the complete list of available currencies

1. On the Codejig ERP Main menu, go to the Banking module, and then select Currency.

A listing page of the Currency directory opens.

2. On the listing page, you can manage the list of available currencies and see their details.

The following information is provided about each currency:

  • Currency name
  • Letter code
  • Code
  • Whether it is in use in the system

Although all 32 supported currencies are available for use, presumably you will mostly work with a very specific set of currencies. Thus, to prevent unused currencies from appearing in the selection lists for the Currency field across various documents and records, each currency can be put in use/out of use.

By default, only your local currency and EUR are in use from the outset.

If you want to put other currencies in use

1. On the Codejig ERP Main menu, navigate to the Banking module, and then select Currency.

A listing page of the Currency directory opens.

2. On the listing page, click a table entry summarizing a currency you want to put in use/out of use.

A page containing currency details opens.

3. Click Update, and then make sure the In use option is turned off if you want to deactivate the currency, or turned on if you want to activate the currency.

4. Click Save.

Also, you can modify all of the available currencies by changing them or adding new ones. However, you cannot delete any predefined currencies.
