Country
If you run your business internationally, your business partners may be based in different countries. This fact has to be reflected in the system, as a location of your vendors or customers has not merely informative significance, but it also affects sales and purchase processes as well as taxation procedures.
In Codejig ERP, all of the countries are pre-defined in the system. Thus, you will rarely need to set new countries, except in very specific occasions. However, such option is available for you and can be used as needed.
To see the exhaustive list of countries
1. On the Codejig ERP Main menu, go to the Settings module, and then select Country.

2. On the listing page, you can manage the list of available countries and see details of each one.
The following information is provided about each country:
- Country name
- Whether it is in use in the system
- VAT area to which a country belongs (is defined only for EU member states)
- ISO ALPHA-2 Code
- ISO Numeric Code
Although all 196 countries are available for use, you will doubtedly work with them all. Thus, each country can be made active/inactive. Active countries will appear in selection lists for the field Country in various records, while inactive ones will not be available for selection or use and will be accessible only on the listing page of the Country directory.
By default, all EU member countries are active. If you want to deactivate some of them or activate other countries
1. On the Codejig ERP Main menu, navigate to the Settings module, and then select Country.

2. On the listing page, click a table entry summarizing a country you want to activate/deactivate.

3. Click update, and then turn off the Inactive option if you want to activate the country, or turn this option on if you want to deactivate a previously active country.
4. Click Save.
Also, you can modify all of the predefined countries by changing them or adding new ones. However, you cannot delete any of the predefined countries.
