Warehouse: General Area

In this area, you specify general information about a warehouse.

Fields

Used for

Name

Provide a name for the warehouse.

  • It is a required field. If you do not provide a name for the warehouse, you will not be able to save it. 

Manager

Select a warehouse manager from the list of existing employees or add a new employee.

Phone

It is an autocompleted field. After selecting the manager their phone number is provided automatically being retrieved from the created record of the employee.

  • The phone number is provided for informational purposes only.

E-mail

It is an autocompleted field. After selecting the manager their contact e-mail is provided automatically being retrieved from the created record of the employee.

  • The e-mail is provided for informational purposes only.

  Upload an image of the warehouse by browsing your device or inserting a link to the image. 

Number

Warehouse serial number is assigned automatically when you save the warehouse based on the selected numerator.

Users with the appropriate permissions can override the auto-generated number and enter it manually.

After overriding the warehouse number, automated numbering will proceed in the same manner but using the manually set number as a start value.

Add any extra details or comments about your warehouse.

Inactive option

Turn on the Inactive option if you want to deactivate a previously active warehouse.

If a warehouse is inactive, it will not be available for selection or use and will be accessible only on the listing page of the Warehouse directory.  

By default, this option is turned off and all newly created warehouses are active. You can select active warehouses from the lists for the Warehouse field in various documents and directories.
